Chef de partie

Brasserie Pakhuis, a building with a charming character and a story, is well-known in Ghent and beyond for its fresh and generous seafood platters, authentic atmosphere, and magnificent terrace located in the heart of the city.

Do you want to be in charge of the open kitchen area, the so-called "comptoir," where you'll prepare our delicious seafood platters, steak tartare, and other cold dishes?

Lucky you! We are looking for a Chef de Partie for our Comptoir and Oyster Bar.

Job Description:

  • You are responsible for the entire comptoir (organization, preparations, team management, etc.).
  • You display our top products in an attractive way.
  • You coordinate the mise-en-place and service for your kitchen area.
  • You prepare cold dishes such as beef tartare, sashimi, or carpaccio.
  • You give instructions to the kitchen team.


  • You have experience in the kitchen, by preference in a responsible position (Chef de Partie).
  • You have a passion for seafood and you enjoy presenting it to the customers.
  • You attach great importance to hygiene and cleanliness.
  • You can organize your workspace well.
  • You are communicative and a teamplayer.

  • A full-time contract, 5 days a week.
  • Free on Sunday and one other weekday (to be determined mutually).
